Christopher Lee is the best as Dracula and is the master of vampire movies and i don't think anybody will came close to him because he must have played in about 30 vampire movies... and i forgot to told you that The House Of Dark Shadows (1970) with Jonathan Frid it's another great horror movie.

the Dracula movies it's a long series that started in 1958 and it last until 1972 i think and the end of each movies are the beginning in part of the next one.

Also, also, Leviathan Wakes is actually the first book in a series. There are four books in total for the series (so far? I don't know if more are planned) I have picked up the first three books in the series, and I am excited to start reading the second book soon.

Also, on my short list of books to read is A Canticle for Leibowitz by Walter M. Miller, Jr. I've seen than title get thrown around a lot in references, and it's usually considered a "classic." So... I think I should probably get around to reading it soon~ish.

Alright, if you want some book recommendations, I'll be happy to do so.

I hope you like science-fiction, as that's what I've been reading a lot of lately.

I thought about how the only sci-fi books that seem to get recommended to people are the "classics." Asimov, Clarke, Heinlein. Now, I'm all for them, and do recommend them, but... I wanted something a bit newer. No one has recommended anything to me for quite some time, so I did some research. I looked up every book in the last 10 years that won or was nominated for: The Hugo Award for Best Novel, The Nebula Award for Best Novel, or the Philip K. Dick Award. I whittled down that list to only the books that immediately piqued my interest. Since starting on this book list, I've been very happy with what I've read. Most recently, I'd recommend:

Lost Everything by Brian Francis Slattery

and

Leviathan Wakes by James S.A. Corey

Lost Everything is a story set in a post-apocalyptic setting, in a similar vein as The Road by Cormac McCarthy. It was kind of a depressing book, as I feel like it took a hard, realistic, and quite sobering look at what will happen if we do nothing to try to avert the course we're on in terms of climate change.

Leviathan Wakes... well the book pretty much lives up to the blurb on the front cover "It's been too long since we've had a really kickass space opera" -- George R.R. Martin. Mr. Martin also had this to say about the book in his blog where he was discussing who he thought should be nominated for the Hugo Award: "For science fiction, my favorite novel of the year was a classic old-fashioned space opera titled LEVIATHAN WAKES, by James S.A Corey. I'll be the first to admit that I was favorably disposed toward this one, since "Jimmy" Corey is actually a collaborative pseudonym for two of my friends, my sometime collaborator Daniel Abraham and my assistant Ty Franck. However, I have a lot of friends who published books last year, and this is the one that kicked my ass the hardest. It's a terrific read, a page turner. If you love SF the way they used to write it, you will love this book."
